DETERMINANTS OF INNOVATIVE ACTIVITY: EASTER PARTNERSHIP COUNTRIES ANALYSIS

Summary

The paper presentsthe analysis of the determinants of innovative activity. The paper discusses and characterizes macro and micro-determinants of innovative activity. Macro-determinants include the indicators calculated for the evaluation of innovation activity, and from the micro-perspective - the theoretical and quantitative models considered in the economic literature, which describe innovation activity depending on the indicators such as firm size, market structure, etc.

The study also presents the analysis of the dynamics of the macro indicators and characteristics for EaP Countries and especially for Georgia. Based on the analysis, the relevant conclusions are presented and ways to enhance innovative activity are identified.
